Colony History

On August 9, 1991, at the 152nd General National Convention the group of men formerly known as Omega Tau Phi were granted Beta Theta Pi Colony status. At that point in time, the colony was made up of our 9 founding fathers. These 9 founding fathers were initiated by the Gamma Phi Chapter of Lawrence University of Appleton Wisconsin on December 4, 1991.

At the 155th General Convetion of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity these men would become the founding fathers of what is now known as the Zeta Zeta Chapter of Beta Theta Pi, located on the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Campus.

155th General Convention

Date: August 3-6, 1994

Location: Marco Island, FL

In Attendance: Dean Eiden, Mark Curnes, Dennis Peters, Steve Chmielewski, Scott Krueger, Bennie Volpendesta, Randy O'Brien, Eric Darnell Josh Dakins.

Residence

Through out these years the colony continued to conduct events and meetings in 110 Donner Hall. Eventually the chapter moved to the first Zeta Zeta Chapter house located at 735 Scott Ave.

Brothers living in the house for the 93-94' year were; Rick McQuown, Pete McGinty, Steve Weiss, and Keith Krueger.

The house at 735 Scott was notorious for parties featuring the band Buzzkill, a cat named 'Pumpkin'(god rest her soul), and the porch that claimed her leg.
